10th Grade: H.W.#79, Due Friday, 1/20

1. Go back to the homework response from yesterday. Reread it and look for the following errors:
A. Tense Shifts. Remember, when you discuss events from literature, you always use the Simple Present Tense.
B. Pronouns Shifts (“Everyone thinks they’re right”)
C. Phrasing Issues: are you writing using a formal tone? Is there a word that is not exactly suited to what you wish to express?
D. Overall coherence: are your sentences building up an idea? Do you use transition words appropriately?

You may want to expand your response. Bring in BOTH the original (H.W.#78) and this new-and-improved version on Friday.

NOTE: Your books will be collected on Friday!!!
