1.  Read chapter 20.
2. Write at least two post-it notes. On one, pay attention to various emotions Jane feels (or ought to feel but does not express). On the other, zero in on a writing technique or a literary device to see how Bronte uses it to illustrate Jane’s emotional landscape in this chapter. Your ability to do this will come in handy on your assignment for Jane Eyre, which will be an in class writing assignment (details to follow).
