10th Grade: H.W.#5, Due Friday, 10/2 OR Monday, 10/5

  1. Read up to line 1482 (“I wish you had never known”).
  2. Monitor your thoughts and feelings towards Oedipus. Be ready to trace back how you feel at various moments in the course of his investigations and its aftermath. Use post-it notes or marginal notes (using different color markers could also work–red for anger, blue for pity, yellow for fear etc.).
  3. Memorize all vocabulary words assigned previously, including the literary terms hamartia, anagnorisis, peripeteia, hubris, eleos, phobos, mimesis, and catharsis and stichomythia.
