10th Grade: H.W.#35, Due Thursday, 3/28

  1. You will be getting your brand new Dracula books tomorrow in class. Make sure you bring in the money for it.
  2. Finish reading Macbeth.
  3. Where do you think Shakespeare wanted us to lay the primary responsibility for Macbeth’s course of evil? Review the events of the play in considering your answer and jot down your response. This will come in handy as you begin formulating your thesis and essay response.
  4. In the next few days, CREATE a GRAPHIC ORGANIZER with PERCENTAGES of RESPONSIBILITY and TEXTUAL EVIDENCE that goes with each claim. This is strictly for your own use as a springboard to further deliberations about the exact mixture of factors necessary to bring about Macbeth’s peripeteia.

NOTE: DEADLINE CORRECTION. The final deadline for the essay is Thursday, April 18th, on turnitin.com.

In case you have some time on your hands, watch this compilation of all soliloquies  in Macbeth (you can do this at your leisure later as well in the weekend). These words will give you a much better sense of what each character is feeling at the moment.
