10th Grade: H.W.#2, Due Wednesday OR Thursday

  1. Watching the videos below, and take some notes for yourself that will be used to further discussions next time we meet. (30 mins)
  2. In a one-page, double-spaced response, answer the following question:
How does the Allegory of the Cave apply today in our own lives, your own life? Make sure you quote from the text anything relevant as a starting point. You may discuss any aspect of the allegory (the shadow, the sun, the moving objects and what you think may be a concrete example of it in your world). Also, feel free to cite any idea you’ve gleaned from watching the two videos (see below). Upload this response on Jupiter by the start of next class and also onto Google Classroom. (Don’t spend more than another 30 minutes writing this).

You will share this piece with your classmates during our next class and offer your comments in writing on Jupiter!

You may skip some parts that are not really analysis but summary (and try speeding it up 1.5x if you can still understand what he’s saying). Takes notes.
